Boundaries Are Not Rejection

A boundary is not a wall. It is a decision about where your energy is allowed to compound.
The word boundary carries a cost it does not deserve. It sounds like refusal, like distance, like something being taken away.
In practice, a boundary is an allocation decision.
What a boundary actually does
When you decide that a certain meeting is not yours, or that a certain hour belongs to something else, you are not withdrawing. You are directing capacity toward the work, the people and the life you have said matter most.
The alternative is not generosity. It is diffusion — energy spread thin enough that nothing receives what it needs.
Saying it plainly
A boundary that is not spoken becomes a resentment. A boundary that is spoken calmly becomes a standard.
You do not need to justify the allocation. You only need to have made it deliberately.
